Izpratne par naga vienības anatomiju un nekorekti veiktas manikīra procedūras sekām patērētāju, manikīra meistaru un farmācijas speciālistu vidū

Abstract

Eponihijs un kutikula bieži tiek maldīgi uztverti kā ekvavilentas naga vienības daļas. Nepareizi veikta manikīra procedūra, kuras laikā tiek apgriezts eponihijs, var izraisīt nagu infekciju vai vīrusu slimību. Šī darba mērķis ir izprast nagu kopšanas tendences Latvijā un noskaidrot manikīra meistaru un viņu klientu, kā arī aptiekās strādājošo farmācijas speciālistu izpratni par naga vienības anatomiju un nekorekti veiktas manikīra procedūras sekām. Pētījumam tika izmantota anketēšana un saņemtas 307 derīgas anketas. Iegūtie rezultāti liecina, ka aptaujātajiem respondentiem nav pietiekamas izpratnes ne par to, kas ir eponihijs, ne arī par tā apgriešanas drošumu cilvēka veselībai. Savukārt tie respondenti, kas izprot risku cilvēka veselībai, par vislielākajiem draudiem uzskata patogēnu izraisītas patoloģijas.

The eponychium and the cuticle are often mistakenly perceived as equal parts of the nail unit. An incorrectly done manicure, during which the eponychium is cut, can cause a nail infection or a viral disease. The aim of this work is to understand the nail care trends in Latvia and to find out how knowledgeable manicurists, their clients as well as pharmaceutical specialists who work in pharmacies are about the anatomy of the nail unit and the consequences of an incorrectly done manicure. Survey was used for the research and 307 valid forms were received. The obtained results show that the surveyed respondents do not have sufficient knowledge neither about what an eponychium is nor about the safety for human health when cutting it. Meanwhile, the respondents who understand the risk to human health consider the diseases caused by pathogens to be the biggest danger.
