Dzimtes stereotipu ietekme uz Talsu 12. klašu skolēnu karjeras izvēli

Abstract

Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot dzimtes stereotipu ietekmi uz Talsu 12. klašu skolēnu karjeras izvēli. Tika apzināti arī citi karjeras izvēli ietekmējošie faktori. Darba autore izvirzīja trīs hipotēzes: (1) skolēni izvēlas veidot savu karjeru, ietekmējoties no dzimtes stereotipiem; (2) skolēnu karjeras izvēli ietekmē citi faktori, piemēram, tas, cik liels iespējamais atalgojums dominē konkrētajā nozarē; (3) paredzamā atalgojuma ietekme uz karjeras izvēli ir lielāka nekā dzimtes stereotipu ietekme uz karjeras izvēli. Darbā tika analizētas Talsu 2. vidusskolas, Talsu Valsts ģimnāzijas un Talsu Kristīgās vidusskolas 12. klašu skolēnu atbildes. Autore secina, ka darbā izvirzītā hipotēze “Skolēni izvēlas veidot savu karjeru, ietekmējoties no dzimtes stereotipiem” ir apgāzta, jo lielākā daļa skolēnu nepiekrita dotajiem apgalvojumiem par dzimtes stereotipiem.

The aim of this Bachelor’s thesis is to identify the influence of gender stereotypes on career choice among grade 12 students in Talsi. Other career choice influencing factors were also identified. The author proposes three hypotheses: (1) gender stereotypes influence students career choice; (2) other factors like the possible salary influence students career choice; (3) the possible salary influences students career choice more than gender stereotypes. The data obtained from grade 12 students in Talsi Secondary School No. 2, Talsi State Gymnasium and Talsi Christian School were analyzed in the thesis. The author concludes that the hyphotesis “Gender stereotypes influence students career choice” is not true because most students did not agree with the statements about gender stereotypes given.
