Mākslinieciskie izteiksmes līdzekļi Hilarijas Klintones un Donalda Trampa prezidenta priekšvēlēšanu kampaņas runās

Abstract

Ir svarīgi petīt un izprast leksisko māksliniecisko līdzekļu lietojumu prezidenta vēlēšanu kandidātu runās, tāpēc ka tie tiek izmantoti kā mērķauditorijas parliecināšanas līdzeklis. Tādēļ pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt leksisko māksliniecisko izteiksmes līdzekļu lietojumu Hilarijas Klintonas un Donalda Trampa priekšvēlēšanas kampaņas runās. Lai sasniegtu darba mērķi, diskursa analīzes metode tika pielietota. Pētījuma empiriskajā daļā tika secināts, ka Klintonas runas satur lielāku māksliniecisko izteiksmes daudzumu nekā Trampa runas, kā arī ka metaforām, metonīmijām un idiomām ir ne tikai figuratīva, bet arī paskaidrošanas funkcija. Apstrādajot un interpretējot datus, darba veikšanas procesā visi pētījuma jautājumi tika atbildēti; pētījuma mērķis tika sasniegts.

It is important to investigate and understand the use of lexical stylistic devices in the speeches of presidential election candidates because they serve as means of convincing the target audience. Hence, the aim of the research is to study the use of lexical stylistic devices in presidential campaign speeches of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. In order to achieve the aim, the method of discourse analysis was implemented. In the empirical part of the research it was concluded that the speeches of Hillary Clinton are richer in stylistic devices than those delivered by Donald Trump and that metaphors, metonymies and idioms have not only figurative but also explanatory function. The conducted research allowed to answer all research questions by means of processing and interpreting the data and achieve the aim of the research.
