Abstract
Starpkaru periodā Rīgas pašvaldība īstenoja 7 municipālo īres namu būvniecības projektus. Maģistra darba mērķis ir analizēt šo namu būvniecības sociālos aspektus. Pētījumā centrā ir trīs aspekti: 1) nabadzīgiem Rīgas iedzīvotājiem pieejamas kvalitatīvas dzīvojamās platības trūkums kā smaga sociāla problēma aplūkotajā periodā; 2) municipālo namu būvniecība un dzīvokļu piešķiršanas politika kā reakcija uz šo problēmu; 3) namu iedzīvotāju sociālais sastāvs un tā izmaiņu saistība ar pašvaldības politiku.
During interwar period Riga municipality implemented 7 municipal housing projects. The aim of the master thesis is to analyse social aspects regarding construction of these buildings. Research is centred on three aspects: 1) Shortage of accessible and qualitative living quarters for the urban poor as a severe social problem in interwar Riga; 2) Municipal housing construction projects and apartment allocation policy in these buildings as a response to this social problem; 3) Relations between municipal housing administration policy and transformations of social structures in these buildings.
