Piecu svēto kalnu nozīme Ķīnas tradicionālajā pasaules skatījumā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba „Piecu svēto kalnu nozīme Ķīnas tradicionālajā pasaules skatījumā” mērķis ir apskatīt Ķīnas Piecus svēto kalnus – vujue, to izcelsmi un nozīmi ķīniešu pasaules skatījumā. Darba gaitā ir apskatīta vujue kalnu sistēmas izveide, kas balstās uz piecu elementu teoriju. Kā arī tiek aplūkoti ar šiem kalniem un piecu elementu teoriju sasaistītie aspekti – daoistu meditāciju alas un nemirstības ideja. Darba izstrādes gaitā noskaidrots kādu lomu ieņem Pieci svētie kalni un kad tāda kalnu sistēma ir izveidota, to izvietojums un saistītie aspekti. Apskatīts ir gan ķīniešu pasaules skatījums un kalnu vispārēja nozīme laika posmā pirms vujue sistēmās izveides, gan arī konkrēti piecu elementu teorija, kuras kontekstā ir izveidoti šie Pieci svētie kalni. Kalni pastāv kā šo piecu elementu iemiesojums dabā, kā garu pielūgsmes uz rituālu veikšanas vieta. Kā arī noskaidrots kādu nozīmi kalni ieņem daoistu nemirstības iegūšanas procesā. Respektīvi, tās ir kalnos esošās meditāciju alas un daoistu alķīmijas prakses. Darbs sastāv no 3 daļām. Pirmajā daļā ir apskatīta Ķīnas topogrāfija un senākās zināmās reliģiskās prakses, senķīniešu pasaules skatījums un kalnu nozīme tajā. Otrajā daļā ir aplūkoti Pieci svētie kalni, to vēsture un daoisma piecu elementu teorija, uz kā pamata tiek izveidota šī kalnu sistēma. Trešajā daļā ir apskatītas kalnos esošās daoistu meditāciju alas, alķīmijas prakses un ar tām saistītā nemirstības ideja.

The goal of the thesis “Five Sacred Mountains and their significance in traditional Chinese worldview” is to examine at the Five Sacred Mountains of China – Wuyue, their origin and significance in Chinese worldview. Over the course of the work the Wuyue mountain system’s origin is being overviewed, which is based upon the Five Elements theory. Also aspects related to these mountains and the Five Elements theory are also being looked at, namely, Daoist meditation grottoes and the concept of immortality. Over the course of the work it is determined what role do the Five Sacred Mountains occupy and when such a system was created, their geographic position and related aspects. The work examines Chinese worldview and the general meaning of mountains in the timeframe before the Wuyue system was created, as well as the Five Elements theory, specifically in the context within which the Five Sacred Mountains were created. These mountains exists as a representation of the elements in nature, as well as a place of spirit worship and rituals. It is also determined what role these mountains have in the Daoist idea of immortality. Respectively, those are the mountain meditation grottoes, which connect to the spirit world, and Daoist alchemy practices. The thesis consists of 3 main parts. The first part overviews the topography of China and earliest known religious practices, the worldview ancient Chinese people and the significance of mountains within it. The second part overviews the Five Sacred Mountains, their history and the Daoist Five Elements theory, upon which this mountain system was created. The third part overviews Daoist mountain grottoes, alchemy practices and the concept of immortality related to them.
