Tēlu raksturojums un galvenās tēmas Džeinas Ostinas romānā „Lepnums un aizspriedumi” un tā ekranizācijā

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs atspoguļo angļu rakstnieces Džeinas Ostinas noveles “Lepnums un aizspriedumi” (1813) un angļu kinorežisora Džo Raita filmas “Lepnums un aizspriedumi” (2005) analīzi. Pētījuma galvenais akcents ir vērsts uz apskatu par līdzībām un atšķirībām novelē un tās ekranizācijas tēlu raksturošanā un svarīgākajās tēmās, kuras ikdienas lasītājs vai skatītājs nevar pamanīt. Pētījuma metodes ietver tēlu raksturošanu, tēmu un filmu teorētisko materiālu, kā arī izvēlētās noveles un tās ekranizējuma analīzi. Pēc pētījuma veikšanas Bakalaura darba autors nonāk pie slēdziena, ka pēc Džeinas Ostinas noveles “Lepnums un aizspriedumi” Džo Raita režisētā filma “Lepnums un aizspriedumi” meistarīgi attēlo gan galvenos, gan mazsvarīgos tēlus, jautājumus par naudu, sabiedrību, reputāciju, mīlestību un laulībām, tikpat labi kā to varētu būt domājusi pati Džeina Ostina savā novelē.

This Bachelor’s Paper presents an analysis of the film “Pride and Prejudice” (2005) made by an English film director Joe Wright after an English writer Jane Austen’s novel “Pride and Prejudice” (1813). The main focus of the present research is on the examination of the similarities and differences in characterisation and themes of the novel and its screen version, which not every reader or viewer can notice. The methods of research include a review of theoretical sources on characterisation, themes and film adaptations as well as the analysis of the selected novel and its screen version. After this research, the author of this Bachelor’s Paper comes to conclusion that the film “Pride and Prejudice” made by Joe Wright after Jane Austen’s novel masterfully depicts major and minor characters as well as depicts the issues of money, society, class, reputation, love and marriage as closely as it might have been intended by Jane Austen in her novel.
