Latvijas armijas 5. Cēsu kājnieku pulka darbība Neatkarības kara laikā (1919.gada oktobris-decembris)

Abstract

Darbā tiek veikta Latvijas armijas 5. Cēsu kājnieku pulka darbības analīze Neatkarības kara laikā, no 1919. gada oktobra (Bermontiādes sākuma) līdz 1919.gada decembra beigām. Bermontiāde ir nozīmīga tāpēc, ka tā ir kritisks Neatkarības kara posms un tās rezultātā lielākā daļa no Latvijas teritorijas tika atbrīvota no svešas varas karaspēka, un pēc tās varēja visus armijas spēkus veltīt Latgales atbrīvošanai. Darba mērķis ir veikt Latvijas armijas darbības analīzi Bermontiādes laikā caur 5. Cēsu kājnieku pulku. Darbā galvenā uzmanība tiek pievērsta militārās darbības aspektam, aprakstot dažādu kauju norisi, pulka pārvietošanos, bruņojumu un citas militāras lietas. Darbs ir sadalīts trijās nodaļās, kuras ir hronoloģiskā secībā, kas atvieglo mērķa sasniegšanu. Atslēgas vārdi: Latvijas armija, 5. This work analyzes the performance of the 5th Cēsis Infantry Regiment of the Latvian Army during the War of Independence, from October 1919 (the start of the Bermondt affair) until the end of December 1919. Bermondt affair is important because it was a critical stage in the War of Independence, which resulted in the liberation of most of Latvia’s territory from foreign military powers, after which the Latvian Army was able to devote all its forces to the liberation of Latgale. The objective of this work is to analyze the performance of the Latvian Army by looking at the 5th Cēsis Infantry Regiment during the Bermondt affair period. This work focuses on the military aspects of the campaign, describing the progress of various battles, regimental movement, weaponry, as well as other military matters. The work is divided into three sections in chronological order, which makes it easier to achieve the work’s goal.
