Bachelor work was developed by Liga Akmentiņa. The title of the work is "The use of literary works to promote the creative activity of children of the senior preschool age”. This topic was chosen because pre-school age is the time when personality begins to develop. Creative personality is not only highly intellectual, but also emotionally rich. Therefore, I chose to promote children's creativity through literary works, because the world of literature is one of the easiest ways of expressing art, which is quick and easy for children to understand and it is magnificent, rich and varied. The key words of this work are creativity, activity and expression of creativity. The aim of the Bachelor paper is to study and analyze the importance of literature in promoting creative activity for older children of pre-school age. Beginning to work out a Bache-lor paper, the hypothesis was put forward: literary works promote creative activity for older preschool children, if the texts of literature are selected, taking into account the interests, experiences and needs of the children, if an emotionally positive atmosphere is created when the literary work is captured, if the educator knows the regularities of development corresponding to the age of the child. Bachelor paper is developed on 81 pages; it contains 13 pictures, 4 tables, 56 bibliographic units and 7 annexes. Bachelor paper has 3 parts. In the first part, creative activity, imagination and fantasy is viewed through a different author's view. The second part deals with the role of literature in promoting children's creative activity. The third part is devoted to research on the promotion of cre-ative activity. In this part, initial and repeated observation has been carried out, their analysis has been developed, characteristics of the group of children at the beginning and end of the study. Pre-school teachers are interviewed orally, and their answers to questions asked are qualitatively analyzed. The achievements of each child's activity are analyzed. Practical work with children was conducted in five teaching pilot activities. Literary works were chosen in ac-cordance with the interests, experiences and needs of children. After practical work with chil-dren, they have become more creative personalities than they were at the beginning of the study. The hypothesis put forward in the Bachelor paper was confirmed at the end of the study.
