Atslēgvārdi: ķīmijterapija, akūtās blakusparādības, pacientu aprūpe, toksicitāte The theme of the Bachelor's thesis work is "Patient care problems during chemotherapy entry". The importance of the topic is determined by the ever-increasing morbidity of oncological diseases and the type of treatment used, chemotherapy. The aim of the study was to collect and analyze patient care problems during chemotherapy injection. A hypothesis was put forward - the most commonly occurring care problems during chemotherapy are related to acute side effects, which are produced by the drug patient was using. The following research objectives were set to achieve the goal: to conduct a literature review of the effects of chemotherapy preparations on the body and patient care during the introduction of chemotherapy, to analyze Betty Newman's care theory, to develop a research tool - a patient care protocol, to conduct a research, to create a database and to analyze and summarize the results obtained. In the empirical part of the research, a quantitative research method, a non-experimental, cross-sectional descriptive study, was used. Research tool - patient care protocol. Respondents were not involved in the study. Care problems during chemotherapy are associated with acute side effects - pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, urinary disorders and the most severe acute adverse reaction - anaphylaxis. Anaphylaxis and its onset depend on the time of the used medicine and its time of action on the body. The research carried out allows us to conclude that the hypothesis proposed in the study has been proven. Keywords: chemotherapy, acute side effects, patient care, toxicity.
