Maģistra darba „Galda spēļu kafejnīcas izveidošana Rīgā” mērķis ir sniegt pētāmās tēmas vispārējo raksturojumu un, pielietojot projektu vadīšanas metodes un instrumentus, izstrādāt projekta priekšlikumu, kurā vispārējais mērķis ir paaugstināt pieeju galda spēlēm Rīgas iedzīvotājiem un viesiem līdz 2019. gada 2. ceturksnim. Darbs sastāv no trīs daļām. The aim of the Master's thesis "Board game cafe creation in Riga" is to provide the general characteristics of the researched topic and to use project management methods and tools to develop a project initiation note, with the general scope of the project to increase the access to board games for Riga residents and guests by the 2nd quarter of 2019. Thesis consists of three parts. The first part studies the development trends of the board game hobby in the world, the situation of board game events and the main propagandists of tabletop hobby in Riga; their strengths and weaknesses are evaluated. A survey of 193 respondents is conducted to find out the satisfaction of hobby enthusiasts with the current events and to gauge the need for a regular meeting place. Based on the results of the analysis and the research, the main problem is raised: "There is no opportunity provided for players with common interests to meet regularly at the same place and play specific board games". In the second part, a number of project alternatives are developed and evaluated. Carried out are financial evaluation, risk and strategic analysis. The most suitable option is selected and a proposal for a project is developed. In the third part, using the project management tools, the project manual, conclusions and proposals are developed. Thesis consists of 188 pages, 18 images, 24 tables and 40 appendices. Keywords: project management, project, cafe, board games.
