Maģistra darbs sastāv no trim daļām. Pirmajā daļā tiek aprakstītas tradicionālās japāņu profesijas, kuras līdzinās mūsdienu īrējamā kompanjona definīcijai un tiek noteikti profesijas aizsākumi. Darba otrajā daļā tiek analizētas Japānas kultūras īpatnības kā izīrējamā kompanjona profesijas pieprasījuma un izplatības cēloņi. Trešā daļa tiek veltīta sīkākai konkrētu profesiju izpētei izīrējamo kompanjonu sfērā un sabiedrības attieksmei pret tām. Maģistra darbs sastāv no 62 lpp. neieskaitot literatūras sarakstu un pielikumu. Contemporary Japanese society suffers from problems of loneliness, as well as work culture related problems. The aims of this paper are: To find historical precedents of the renatal companion; To determine the reasons for the formation of the profession and the reasons for its popularity today; To describe and categorize the types of rental companions; To determine the attitude towards these types of professions in Japan. It was concluded that the phenomenon of rental companions in Japan has existed at least since the Edo period, and its particular incarnation has always been the result of its sociological and cultural environment. Today's rental companions fulfill the roles of trusted individuals, family members and more, because Japanese society is increasingly faced with challenges of loneliness and isolation. This master’s thesis consists of three parts. The first part describes traditional Japanese occupations, which are similar to the definition of a modern rental companion and determines the origins of the profession. In the second part of this thesis, the peculiarities of Japanese culture are analyzed as the causes for the the demand and abundance of the rental companion profession. The third part is devoted to a more detailed study of specific occupations in the field of rental companions and the societal attitudes towards them.
