Studiju materiālu pārvaldīšana studiju procesā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Studiju materiālu pārvaldīšana studiju procesā”. Mērķis ir izpētīt Latvijas Universitātes studentu paradumus mācību materiālu pārvaldībā, apskatot studentu metodes pierakstu veikšanā, mācību materiālu glabāšanā un izmantošanā, īpašu uzmanību pievēršot elektroniska formāta mācību materiāliem un mākoņkrātuvēm. Tika apskatīts arī pasniedzēju un studentu viedoklis par to, kā mācību materiālu pārvaldības prasmes var ietekmēt mācību procesu un rezultātus. Pētījuma laikā tika salīdzināti rezultāti starp dažāda dzimuma studentiem, kā arī starp pirmā un pēdējo kursu studentiem. Darba teorētiskajā bāzē tika izmantots S. Deila (S. Dale) (2008) informācijas dzīves cikla pārvaldības raksturojums, T. W. Malona (T. W. Malone) (2014) kaudžu un mapju teorija, kā arī V. Džounsa (W. Jones) (2008) pētījums par cilvēku paradumiem informācijas pārvaldībā un faktoriem, kas to ietekmē. Pētījuma rezultātu gūšanai tika izmantota studentu mācību vides novērošana, kurā tika novēroti 10 studenti. Tika anketēti 119 Latvijas Universitātes studenti un 35 pasniedzēji. Tāpat tika apskatītas piecas populārākās mākoņkrātuves un tika izvērtēts, kura no mākoņkrātuvēm ir atbilstošākā studentu vajadzībām. Rezultāti parāda, ka Latvijas Universitātes studenti pievērš uzmanību savu mācību materiālu pārvaldības metodēm, aktīvi izmanto mākoņkrātuves, kā arī veicot pierakstus, izmanto dažādas tehnikas svarīgākā teksta izcelšanai. Rezultāti liecina, ka studentu dzimums vai kurss, kurā tie studē, īpaši neietekmē studentu paradumus mācību materiālu pārvaldībā. Gan studentu, gan pasniedzēju viedokļi par jautājumu, kādi faktori ietekmē mācību procesu pozitīvi vai negatīvi, sakrīt, tāpat kā viedoklis par to, kā haotiska mācību vide var ietekmēt studiju procesu. Mākoņkrātuvju analīze, novērošana un anketēšana apstiprināja, ka populārākā un studentiem ērtākā mākoņkrātuve ir Google Drive.

The theme of the Bachelor’s paper is “Management of the study materials in study process”. The aim of this study is to explore educational material management habits of the students of University of Latvia by looking at the students’ note taking methods, educational material storage and usage skills. Particular attention was paid to electronic educational materials and cloud services. Students’ and professors’ opinion about educational material management habit influence on learning process and outcome was also taken into account. During the study comparison between genders and first and last year students was made. The theoretical background of this study is based on S. Dale (2008) research on information lifecycle management, T. W. Malone (2014) files and piles theory and also W. Jones (2008) research on people’s behaviour in information management and factors that can influence it. To get the results, observation of 10 students learning area was made. Also survey was sent to 119 students and 35 professors of University of Latvia and five most popular cloud services were analysed and conclusion was made on which cloud service is the most suitable for students’ needs. Results show, that students of University of Latvia pay attention to management of their educational materials, they actively use cloud services and use different techniques when taking notes. Results also show, that there is no big difference between genders or first and last year students in information management. Students’ and professors’ opinion match on what factors affect study process in a good or bad way and how chaotic learning environment can affect study results. Cloud analysis as well as observation and survey showed, that the most suitable and popular cloud service is Google Drive.
