Vidzemes muižu saimniecības sistēma: Nurmižu muižas piemērs, 1561.-1920.

Abstract

Nurmižu muiža kopš 18.gs beigām dažādos ceļojumu aprakstos tikusi slavināta kā muiža ar modernāko kungu namu un vienu no neparastākajiem parkiem visā Vidzemē. Tomēr pētnieciskā uzmanība tai veltīta tikai fragmentāri. Līdz šim tās vēsture aprakstīta kādas citas vēstures problēmas kontekstā. Šajā gadījumā no dažādiem aspektiem (saimniecības, sociālā vēsture, t. sk., iedzīvotāji, īpašnieku maiņa, muižas un vēlāk arī pagasta sētu saimnieciskais stāvoklis, tirdzniecība, kultūras procesi, muižas centra apbūve, ceļu infrastruktūra u.tml.), tiks aplūkota muižas izveide, attīstība un noriets. Būtisks uzsvars likts arī uz muižu kā kultūrvēsturisku pieminekli, sniedzot ieskatu muižas centra apbūves arhitektūrā, ainavu arhitektūrā, kā arī kultūrainavas pārmaiņās.

In several travel descriptions since the end of the 18th century, Nurmižu Manor has been praised as a manor with the most modern residential house and one of the most unusual parks in context of entire province of Vidzeme. However, until this time, only brief research attention has been focused on it. So far, its history has been described in the context of another historic problem. In this case, establishment, development and decline of Nurmiži manor have been viewed through various different aspects (economic and social history - residents, change of owners, economic conditions in manor’s, and later also parish farmsteads, trade, cultural processes, construction of manor center, road infrastructure, etc.). A special emphasis has been placed on the manor as a cultural and historical monument, giving insight into the architecture of the manor center, into the landscape architecture and changes in the cultural landscape.
