Islāma modelis 21. gadsimtā: humānisms, ētika un individuālisms Omara Saifa Gobāša „Vēstulēs jaunam musulmanim”

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā “Islāma modelis 21. gadsimtā: humānisms, ētika un individuālisms Omara Saifa Gobāša “Vēstulēs jaunam musulmanim”” atspoguļots O.S.Gobāša grāmatā raksturotais islāma modelis 21. gadsimtā, īpašu izmanību pievēršot humānisma, ētikas un individuālisma idejām. Darbā ir aplūkotas mūsdienu islāma kultūras jautājumi, kurus par aktuāliem un svarīgiem uzskata grāmatas autors O.S.Gobāšs. Darba mērķis ir atspoguļot, cik lielā mērā islāma reliģijā tiek realizētas humānisma, ētikas un individuālisma pazīmes. Šādas idejas izvēlētas tādēļ, ka 21. gadsimta sabiedrībā tās ir aktuālas un ir nozīmīgas sociālās organizācijas sastāvdaļas. Mēdz uzskatīt, ka sabiedrībai jābūt neatkarīgai, taču organizētai. Tajā jāatspoguļojas cieņai vienam pret otru, kā arī jāietver ētikas vērtības. Darba autore uzskata, ka islāma sabiedrībā nepastāv pilnvērtīgi iepriekš minētie komponenti. Bakalaura darba autore uzskata, ka grāmatā Vēstules jaunam musulmanim aprakstītās problēmas ir īpaši aktuālas arī tādēļ, ka pēdējo trīs gadu laikā Eiropa piedzīvojusi lielu Tuvo Austrumu iedzīvotāju pieplūdumu tās teritorijā. Islāms ir izplatītākā reliģija Tuvajos Austrumos, līdz ar to, liela daļa migrantu, kas ieradušies Eiropā, ir musulmaņi. Bakalaura darba autore uzskata, ka šīs ir problēmas, kuras ir jāpēta, lai veicinātu rietumu pasaules cilvēku izpratni par islāma kultūru. Darba pirmā pamatdaļa sastāv no humānisma pazīmju atspoguļošanas O.S.Gobāša grāmatā aprakstītajos notikumos un situācijās. Otrajā pamatdaļā līdzīgi aplūkoti ētikas pamatprincipi un to atspoguļošanās grāmatā Vēstules jaunam musulmanim minētajos piemēros. Noslēdzošajā trešajā daļā tiek aplūkota iespēja mūsdienās asociēt individuālismu ar islāma reliģiju. Darba garums bez titullapas, satura un avotiem ir 36 lapas.

Bachelor’s thesis “The Model of Islam in the 21st Century: Humanism, Ethics, and Individualism in Omar Saif Ghobash’s “Letters to a Young Muslim”” reflects the 21st century model of Islam as discussed in the book by O. S. Ghobash, putting emphasis on the ideas of humanism, ethics, and individualism. The thesis examines the timely questions in the Islamic culture, which are considered timely by O. S. Ghobash. The aim of the thesis is to demonstrate if the characteristics of humanism, ethics, and individualism are realized in Islam. These ideas are chosen since the author of the thesis considers them to be topical in the contemporary society and important for the social organization. It is believed that the society must be independent but at the same time organized; it must portray respect and must include the values of ethics. The author of the thesis believes that the Islamic society does not fully encompass the previously mentioned components. Author of the bachelor’s thesis considers the problems described in the book Letters to a Young Muslim to be topical because during the last three years Europe has experienced a massive increase in the number of Middle East residents in its territory. Islam is the most widespread religion in the Middle East and, as a result, a large proportion of migrants arriving in Europe are Muslims. The author of the bachelor's thesis believes that these are the issues that need to be explored in order to promote the understanding of Western people. The first part of the thesis demonstrates the characteristics of humanism in the events and situations described in O. S. Ghobash’s book. Similarly, the second part examines the principles of ethics and how they have been portrayed in the examples from the book Letters to a Young Muslim. The last part looks at the possibility to associate individualism with Islam. The length of this thesis is 36 pages not including the title page, table of contents and the list of references.
