This study examines the ways in which a DJ set is perceived and further produced as a transformative experience, meaning it is capable of affecting and delivering a significant change for its participants. The study provides insights on the strategies of production of the DJ set employed by the DJs before and during the DJ set and presents DJs' experience-based subjective accounts of production of the set. I came to see participation of audience as a necessity for production of a transformative experience. I seek to demonstrate the notion of a transformative potential of the DJ set stems from collectivity and embodied experience, the effect of which lies in reciprocity - synergy of both parties - DJ and the audience.
