The aim of the bachelor thesis is to theoretically investigate and practice the use of playgrounds in the pedagogical process to promote the pronunciation of children from 3-4 years of age. The hypothesis of the research - The pronunciation of sounds is encouraged if play activities are used in pedagogical activities. At the beginning of the study, more problems was in the pronouncement of certain consonants, generally such consonants are not pronounced – r, n, h, ķ, ļ, m, d, n, c, l. Children successfully can pronounce vowels and diphthongs. Conseguently, 57% of the children had difficulty with correct pronunciation, but 43% of children spoke precisely in Latvian language. At the end of the study, in the dynamics of the development of the children’s pronunciation it was observed that consonants such as c, l, n, b, ķ had a successful pronunciation, but there was still a problem in the pronunciation of the consonant r, which is characteristic of sound acguisition. In the conclusion that hypothesis during study was confirmed. The work consists of 86 pages containing 3 pictures, 14 tables, 43 bibliographic sources and 14 attachments.
