The choise of the topic of the Master’s Paper was determined by the lack of students’ skills observed in the day-to-day learning process to organise and balance the time needed for learning, extra curricular activities and recreation, to prioritize and sequence the tasks to be performed. The action research was carried out to find out what factors influence secondary school students’ learning habits, how to improve them and what aspects should be taken into account when developing a support programme for improving their learning habits. The data were collected by observation and questionnaire to students, analysis of documents, interviews with support specialists and school graduate. The study resulted in a designed support programme and verified in collaboration with non-formal education specialist. The students carried out its assessment and recognized it as helpful for improving their learning habits.
