Antra Randoha. Darbs sastāv no ievada, 2 daļām, literatūras un avotu saraksta. Self-directed lessons, including art lessons, for the oldest preschool age group is a topical issue not only within the context of project Skola 2030, but it is also an essential learning method to ensure that, upon entering school, children are curious and creative, able to independently seek solutions to various challenges and apply their knowledge rather than merely depend on instilled templates. Self-directed learning is a predominant term within the ideals and objectives of 21st century pedagogy, taking into consideration that with the development of our times, it is not only technology that keeps evolving, but also the way that information is acquired. Self-directed learning within the project Skola2030 is also an important component of competence education repealing the teaching methods of old, where children had to memorize dry facts. Self-directed learning, however, entails working with information using the most efficient methods for each individual, using their talents, ensuring, furthermore, that working with information in this manner teaches a person to continue to learn and develop themselves by the most effective methods for them personally throughout their lives. Thesis advisor: lecturer Dr.paed. Antra Randoha. The thesis consists of an introduction, two chapters and bibliography.
