Osteoporosis is a skeletal disease characterized by a decrease in bone mass and changes in bone microstructure, which reduces bone strength and increases the risk of fractures. Osteoporosis usually lasts a long time, often without specific clinical symptoms. The main goal of treatment is to reduce the risk of bone fractures and to help patients recover from bone fractures caused by osteoporosis. The aim of this study is to find out the circulation of prescription drugs for osteoporosis in the “Vangazi Pharmacy”, as well as to clarify the opinions of patients and specialists / family doctors about osteoporosis and its treatment tactics. It has been established that osteoporosis with an abnormal fracture is the most commonly diagnosed osteoporosis (DС: 80.0). Were analyzed 82 compensated prescriptions, in which osteoporosis drugs were prescribed to patients 70 - 80 y.o. Summarizing the results, we can conclude that family doctors most often prescribe medications for the treatment of osteoporosis. The most commonly prescribed medication for osteoporosis is Fosavance 70 / 0.14 mg (5600 IU) tabl.N4.
