Ķīnas skarbās (sharp) varas instrumenti ārpolitikā 2007.-2018. gadā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Ķīnas skarbās (sharp) varas instrumenti ārpolitikā 2007.-2018. gadā”, un tajā tiek analizēts, kā Ķīna realizē savus skarbās varas instrumentus starptautiskajā sistēmā, kas sevī iekļauj gan informācijas, gan finansiālos rīkus. Pētījumā ietverta teorija par Džozefa Naja (Joseph Nye) izveidotajiem trīs varas konceptiem, kas ir maigā, stingrā un viedā vara, un Džesikas Ludvigas un Kristofera Valkera skarbās varas teorija, kas sākta formulēt 2017. gadā, kā arī varas instrumenti, ko valstis izmanto katra koncepta ietvaros, lai realizētu savu varu. Empīriskajā daļā ar gadījuma analīzes un diskursa analīzes palīdzību konstatēts, kādi ir skarbās varas instrumenti, ko Komunistiskā partija realizē ārpus Ķīnas robežām un tās iekšienē, lai turpinātu veicināt savu starptautisko ietekmi. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kādus skarbās varas instrumentus Ķīna ir izmantojusi ārpolitikā kopš 2007. gada.

The bachelor’s thesis, titled “China’s sharp power tools in foreign policy year 2007–2018”, analyses how China uses its sharp power tools, including both information-related and financial, in the international system. The study covers the theory of the three concepts of power created by Joseph Nye: soft, hard and smart power; the theory of sharp power, developed in 2017 by Jessica Ludwig and Christopher Walker, and lastly, the instruments of power used by countries under each concept to exercise their power. On the basis of a case study and a critical discourse analysis, the thesis’ empirical part identifies the sharp power tools implemented by the Communist Party of China both domestically and abroad, which seek the continued promotion of its international influence. The aim of the paper is to identify the sharp power tools used by China in the context of its foreign policy since 2007.
