Cilvēka biomedicīniskās uzlabošanas ētiskie un sociālie aspekti: Alens Bjūkanens un Nikolass Agars

Abstract

Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, vai cilvēku biomedicīniskie uzlabojumi attaisno dažādas iespējami izrietošās sekas, tādējādi pamatojot piekrišanu uzlabojumu attīstīšanai vai arī noraidīšanu. Autoru Alena Bjūkanena un Nikolasa Agara darbi tiek izmantoti kā vadlīnijas, lai demonstrētu divus pretējus viedokļus, atbalstošu un kritizējošu, attiecībā pret cilvēku biomedicīniskajiem uzlabojumiem. Mērķa sasniegšanai tiek risināti trīs uzdevumi. Analizēt biomedicīnisko uzlabojumu specifiski jēdzienisko iedalījumu. Aplūkot aktuālas ētiskās problēmas un pievērsties jautājumam par cilvēka dabu. Kā arī noskaidrot, vai uzlabojumu attīstība ar tās izrietošajām sekām spētu labvēlīgi ietekmēt sabiedrību.

The aim of this thesis is to determine, whether biomedical enhancement of humans justifies different possible outcomes. That way making it possible to accept either development or rejecting of enhancement. The works of both authors Allen Buchanan and Nicholas Agar are used as guidelines in order to demonstrate two opposite opinions – supporting and also criticizing – against the biomedical enhancement of humans. Three objectives are accomplished in order to achieve the aim. Analysis of the specific division of biomedical enhancement notions. Inspection of actual ethical problems and question of the human nature. Also clarify, if the development of enhancement, including it’s consequences, could benefit society.
