Nowadays, books have been replaced by electronic devices that determine the rhythm of human life, and books are also available electronically, so a real book loses its meaning and substance. However, they still are and will have a lasting value because people love to touch and look through the pages of a real book. The goal is to create a new graphic design style for the 1965 edition of the poem collection “Flower window”. The tasks of the theoretical and empirical part are to study and analyze the history and development of poetry, children's books and illustrations, as well as to analyze the design of Latvian children's poetry books, to analyze all the publications of the poem collection “Flower window” and to interview the illustrators of Latvian children's books. In the creative part, a "Flower window" book was created with new illustrations and design.
