Siguldas kūrorta izveidošanās un attīstība: 19.gs. otrā puse – 20.gs. pirmā puse

Abstract

Autora bakalaura darba tēma ir „Siguldas kūrorta izveidošanās un attīstība 19.gs. otrā puse – 20.gs. pirmā puse”. Darba pētāmā problēma ir, kādi bija iemesli Siguldai no mazapdzīvota ciemata pārtapt par populāru tūrisma galapunktu Latvijā un ko pilsēta kā kūrorts varēja piedāvāt tās iedzīvotājiem un tās viesiem. Darbā apskatītās laika hronoloģiskās robežas ir 19. gadsimta otra puse līdz padomju okupācijai. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt Siguldas pilsētas attīstību un sniegtās atpūtas iespējas konkrētajā laika periodā. Bakalaura darba beigās ir izdarīti secinājumi, kas īsumā sniedz ieskatu par Siguldas kā kūrorta pirmsākumiem un kādi procesi veicināja pilsētas tālāku attīstību līdz PSRS okupācijai 1940. gadā.

The topic of the author's bachelor's thesis is: “The Formation and Development of Sigulda Resort from the Second Half of the 19th Century to the First Half of the 20th Century”. The problem to be studied is: what were the reasons why Sigulda from a sparsely populated village became a popular tourist destination in Latvia and what the town as a resort could offer to its residents and visitors. The chronological boundaries dealt with in the work are from the second half of the 19th century until the Soviet occupation. The aim of the work is to study the development of the town of Sigulda and the possibilities of recreation provided in the given time period. At the end of the bachelor's thesis, conclusions have been drawn that briefly give an insight into the origins of Sigulda as a resort and what processes contributed to the further development of the town until the Soviet occupation in 1940.
