Respondentiem tika piedāvātas sekojošas aptaujas - Daudzdimensionālā darba-ģimenes konflikta skala (Multidimensional Measure of Work-Family Conflict; Carlson, Kacmar, & Williams, 2000, adaptācija latviešu valodā A.Zāgere 2012); Proaktīvas personības skala (Questionnaire on Proactive Personality (Bateman & Crant, 1993) original 17- item Proactive Personality Scale (PPS), tulkota un adaptēta bakalaura darba ietvaros un Demogrāfiskā aptauja. The aim of the study „ The relationship between work-family conflict and proactive personality” was to find out how work-family conflicts are associated with the proactive personality. The participants of the study were 141 inhabitants – 104 women and 37 men –in age of 20 to 63 (M=35,67; SD=11,01), who are employees and living with partner, or not living with a partner but raising at least one child. The sample was created on a voluntary basis in the target population. The respondents filled following surveys: Multidimensional Measure of Work-Family Conflict (Carlson, D.S., Kacmar, K.M., & Williams, L.J., 2000), Latvian version A. Zāgere, 2012; Questionnaire on Proactive Personality (Bateman & Crant, 1993) original 17- item Proactive Personality Scale (PPS), which were translated and initially adapted by the author and Demographic Scale. In response to hypothesis of the study, it is possible to say that proactive personality is negatively associated with the work-to family conflict. In this research it was found that there is a statistically significant negative correlation with proactive personality experience and work-to-family time-based and family-to-work time-based conflict experience. In addition to this was found statistically significant negative correlation with proactive personality experience and family-to-work behaviour-based conflict. Consequently, it is possible to conclude that the aims of the present study were achieved. The results of the study may be used as the basis for future studies and the hypothesis of this study could be tested within the framework of other studies and in reference to more representative samples and limited age and social group.
