The aim of this work “Money laundering” was to study Article 195 of Latvia’s Criminal Law, which determines criminal liability for committing money laundering, to analyze the composition of this criminal offense, and to make proposals for improving the existing regulation. During the development of the work, the concept and composition analysis of a criminal offense and money laundering were considered and described. The composition of Article 195 of said Criminal Law was analyzed and interpreted with other norms of the law. At the end of the work, the problems of anti-money laundering measures were analyzed and based on the regulatory framework, proposals were suggested. The main results revealed that the material values of money laundering were criminally obtained and deliberately carried out with the intention of concealing or disguising the criminal origin of funds or other property and making them seemingly legal.
