Darbā tika pētīta atjaunojamo resursu piemērotība poliuretānu materiālu sintēzē, daļēji aizstājot no naftas pārstrādes produktiem iegūtos poliolus ar polioliem, kas iegūti no tallu eļļas un pārstrādāta polietilēntereftalāta (PET). Polikondensācijas reakcijā starp izocianātiem un polioliem tika iegūti cieto poliuretānu putu materiāli, kuriem tālāk tika noteiktas fizikāli-mehāniskās īpašības, piemēram, šķietamais blīvums, siltumvadītspēja, slēgto poru saturs materiālā, adhēzija pret alumīnija virsmu un stiprība spiedē gan istabas temperatūrā, gan šķidrajā slāpeklī. Iegūtie rezultāti tika salīdzināti ar cieto poliuretānu putu paraugiem, kuri tika sintezēti no komerciāli pieejamajiem polioliem, kurus parasti izmanto poliuretānu industrijā. In this study, the use of sustainable and renewable resources such as forest industry side stream and PET waste, were used to obtain rigid PU materials that could be suitable as cryogenic insulation. Petrochemical based feedstock is limited, therefore an alternative sustainable and renewable resources must be valorised. Different sustainable origin polyols were used to develop rigid PU foam by polycondensation reaction between isocyanates and polyols. Following physico-mechanical and thermal properties of the developed rigid PU foam were tested: apparent density, thermal conductivity, closed cell content, adhesion to aluminium surface and compressive strength both at room temperature (295 K) and at a liquid nitrogen temperature (77 K). Obtained results were compared to the reference material samples, which were obtained from the commercially available polyols, that are solely produced from petrochemical resources.
