Thesis is written in English on 32 pages. It contains 15 figures and 37 references. The rapid development of three-dimensional (3D) visualization technologies requires an accurate assessment of human factors. Consequently, electroencephalography has been broadly employed to investigate the user performance. The aim of this study was to investigate the short-term changes in brain activity when viewing images on the volumetric multi-planar display and compare it with the viewing stereoscopic anaglyph 3D images. The visual task was to find the closest circle between four circles. We used electroencephalography to record the brain signals. No significant changes were found in the P300 component of ERP in the workload task. A significant changes were proved only for the alpha band in Pz and P4 areas. Compared to the stereoscopic anaglyph 3D, the results of ERP showed a significant increase of amplitude in anaglyph 3D. Also, a significant increase in beta and gamma band activity observed in anaglyph 3D.
