Ekosistēmu pakalpojumu apzināšana Rīgas pilsētā vides kvalitātes novērtēšanai un uzraudzībai apkaimju līmenī

Abstract

Maģistra darba “Ekosistēmu pakalpojumu apzināšana Rīgas pilsētvides monitoringam un uzraudzībai apkaimju līmenī” mērķis ir izstrādāt ekosistēmu pakalpojumu apzināšanas un monitoringa modeli, lai efektīvāk plānotu pilsētvidi un ar to saistītus problēmu risinājumus apkaimju līmenī. Pētījuma ietvaros definēti trīs apgādes, septiņi vidi regulējoši un seši kultūras ekosistēmu pakalpojumi, kā arī 41 to raksturojošais indikators. Ekosistēmu pakalpojuma nodrošinājuma apzināšanas metodes matrica ļauj to pēc nepieciešamības pielāgot un piemērot, mainot raksturojošo indikatoru algoritmus un aprēķinus. Pētījuma mērķis ir izstrādāt ekosistēmu pakalpojumu nodrošinājuma apzināšanas metodoloģisku ietvaru, lai, uzsākot jaunu stratēģiskās plānošanas periodu un atkārtojot pētījumu pēc vienotas metodes, gūtu pārskatu par izmaiņām ekosistēmu pakalpojumu nodrošinājumā apkaimes līmenī. Maģistra darba pētījuma rezultāti ļauj izvērtēt un analizēt ekosistēmu pakalpojumu nodrošinājumu Rīgas pilsētā apkaimju līmenī. Darba ietvaros izstrādāti ieteikumi ekosistēmu pakalpojumu apzināšanas metodes pilnveidošanai un pakalpojumu daudzveidības un nodrošinājuma veicināšanai Rīgā, lai uzlabotu sabiedrības dzīves vides kvalitāti un celtu pilsētvides noturību pret klimata mainības radītājiem vidiskajiem riskiem. The goal of the Master’s Thesis research “Mapping ecosystem services for the assessment and monitoring of the environmental quality of Riga city on a neighborhood scale” is to develop a model for ecosystem service identification and monitoring, which could be used for elaboration of mapping solutions at neighborhood level. Within the framework of the research, three supply, seven regulating, six cultural ecosystem services and 41 indicator characterizing them are defined. The matrix identification method for ecosystem service provision prescribes the possibility to adjust and apply it if necessary by changing the algorithms and calculations of the characterizing indicator. The goal of the research is to develop methodological framework for identification of ecosystem service provision, in order to get an overview of changes on the provided ecosystem services at neighborhood level when starting a new period of strategic planning, repeating the research according to unified method. The results of the Master’s Thesis research give the possibility to assess and analyze the provided ecosystem services in Riga city at neighborhood level. As part of the work, recommendations are developed to improve the method for identifying ecosystem services and to promote the diversity and usage of these services in Riga, to increase the resilience capacity of the urban area against risks created by climate change, as well as to improve the quality of social living environment.
