Latvijas - Polijas politiskās attiecības 1934. - 1939. gadā

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs ir veltīts nozīmīgam tematam Latvijas ārpolitikas un reģiona vēstures kontekstā – Latvijas un Polijas politiskās attiecības no 1934. gada, kad Latvijā nodibinājās autoritārais režīms, līdz 1939. gada septembra krīzei un Polijas valsts iznīcināšanai, kad Latvija ar to pārtrauca oficiālas attiecības. Pētījuma mērķis ir analizēt Latvijas – Polijas politiskās attiecības 1934. – 1939. gadā, galveno uzmanību pievēršot abu valstu attiecībām Baltijas Antantes un Austrumu pakta kontekstā, Lietuvas faktoram, kā arī norisēm pirmskara krīzes laikā, nonākot līdz oficiālo attiecību noslēgumam. Latvijas – Polijas politiskās attiecības šajā laika posmā ataino reģiona nesaskaņas, galvenās problēmas, neveiksmi kolektīvās drošības jautājumā un valstu bezspēcību Otrā pasaules kara priekšvakarā un tā pirmajos mēnešos.

The Bachelor's thesis is devoted to an important topic in the context of Latvia's foreign policy and the history of the region, respectively, Latvian – Polish political relations from 1934, when the authoritarian regime was established in Latvia, to the crisis of September 1939 and the destruction of the Polish state. The aim of the study is to analyze the Latvian – Polish political relations in 1934 – 1939, focusing on the relations between the two countries in the context of the Baltic Entente and the Eastern Pact, the Lithuanian factor, as well as genesis of the foreign relations during the pre – war crisis. The Latvian – Polish political relations during this period reflect the disagreements in the region, the main problems, the failure on the issue of collective security and the powerlessness of the countries on the eve of the Second World War and its first months.
