Pētera Damberga (1909–1987) lībiešu vietvārdu vākums

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs „Pētera Damberga (1909–1987) lībiešu vietvārdu vākums” ir veltīts vietvārdiem un ģeogrāfiskās nomenklatūras vārdiem lībiešu valodā. Darbs ir jauns pētījums onomastikas, īpaši lībiešu onomastikas, nozarē, jo šis vietvārdu vākums pētīts pirmo reizi. Darba uzdevumos ietilpa apskatīt vietvārdu pētīšanas teorētisko literatūru; apkopot līdzšinējos lībiešu onomastikas pētījumus un raksturot specifiku; analizēt pētījuma objektu un izveidot šī vietvārdu vākuma ģeogrāfiskās nomenklatūras vārdu sarakstu. Izmantota aprakstošā, vēsturiskā un klasifikācijas pētījumu metode. Pētījumā analizētas 1025 vietvārdu vienības un apkopoti 56 ģeogrāfiskie apelatīvi, tos sistematizējot pēc objekta veida un rakstura un izveidojot lībiešu ģeogrāfiskās nomenklatūras vārdu sarakstu.

The bachelor’s thesis “The Collection of Livonian Place Names by Pētõr Damberg (1909–1987)” is dedicated to place names and geographical nomenclature words in the Livonian language. The work is a new study in the field of onomastics, especially Livonian onomastics, as this collection of place names has now been studied for the first time. Tasks to conduct the research for this bachelor’s thesis were as follows: to look at the theoretical literature from research done on place names; to summarise the previous studies of Livonian onomastics and to describe the specifics; to analyse the research object and to create a list of words of the geographical nomenclature of this place names’ collection Descriptive, historical and classification research methods were used. In this bachelor’s thesis 1025 place name units were analysed and 56 geographical appellatives were summarised, systematising them by the type and nature of the object and creating a list of words in the Livonian geographical nomenclature.
