The topic of my bachelor thesis is "The impact of society’s behaviour on the economy". Since 2017, when R. Thaler won the Nobel prize in economics, there is a belief that the system of government has aged and regulating the behaviour of society with the adopted methods is becoming much less effective because psychological factors are not sufficiently taken into account. The aim of the thesis is to have a study on the behaviour of society and its impact on the economy, to learn and understand the decision making behind an individual, which contradict economic benefits and have contributed to the economic crisis caused by Covid-19 and the Russian influence. The results of the study suggest that information and facts are of secondary importance. The most important thing is the attitude governed by fear, the feeling of belonging and the pressure exerted on the individual during a certain period of time, which encourages the individual to act against economic gain, weakening the effectiveness of public policy.
