Vecums no 18 līdz 54 gadiem (M=27,27; SD=6,33). The aim of the study was to find out the relationship between the assessment of body image perception and sexual satisfaction in long-term relationships. In addition, the relationship between various variables of sexual satisfaction and body image assessment is studied. The study involved 192 respondents, of whom 127 were women and 65 were men. Age varies from 18 to 54 (M = 27,27; SD = 6,33). Three surveys were used in the study – “Body Image Questionnaire” (Slade 1990), “Sexual Satisfaction Scale” (SSS /, Derogatis & Melisaratos, 1979; Young, Luquis, & Young, 1998) and “Body Image Assessments” (Cash, T. F., 2002). The results show that men have higher appreciation and more positive perception of body image and greater sexual satisfaction than women. As the respondent's satisfaction with the body and the assessment of body image increase, so does the respondent's sexual satisfaction. It was found that the respondents who live together in the same household, who don’t have children and who don’t live with their children - have more positive perception and higher evaluation of the body image and greater sexual satisfaction also.
