The topic of the bachelor thesis is "Promoting learning motivation of primary school students in the mathematics learning process" was chosen based on the topicality of the topic. Learning motivation is relevant in any subject, especially now when new competencies are being learned, creating a more interesting learning environment for students and teachers. The teacher uses his imagination to create exciting lessons for the students, but this is not always enough. The teacher has to diversify the learning methods in order to increase the learning motivation in the students and of course the teacher himself has to be motivated to teach others. Considering the topicality of the topic, the primary school stage was chosen, because this age is an intermediate stage in which the student fights with himself to stay motivated or lose motivation. The theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis examines what motivation is, what is the motivation of students. What is the difference between a student's internal and external motivation and how a teacher as an external motivator can influence students' motivation in the learning process. In the second part of the bachelor's degree, the empirical research is described, where the level of motivation of elementary school students is determined, mathematics lessons are organized using three teaching methods, students' feedback on the lessons is collected, and students' motivation is analysed during the learning process and at the end of the study.
