The topic of the bachelor thesis is business valuation methods. The aim of the thesis is to study the methods and approaches of business valuation, to apply the most appropriate method for Apple Inc. and to determine the value of Apple and to draw conclusions and develop proposals for valuers, management, and investors. A summary of the available literature was carried out prior to the development of the thesis. The bachelor thesis describes the nature of valuation as well as the valuation approaches - income, cost and market or analogue approach. The research part of the thesis evaluates Apple Inc. using the discounted cash flow method and the resulting value is compared with the current market value of the company. The bachelor thesis concludes that there are several methods of valuing a company - the income, cost, and comparative methods. The valuator must carefully assess which method will be the most appropriate for the company and the valuation objective. Apple Inc. is valued at only 0.14 times its current market capitalisation, which shows that the company is only slightly overvalued in the market and investors should not be concerned about investing in it.
