L'influence des champs sémantiques sur les manifestations de déficit de traduction des expressions figées du français vers le letton

Abstract

Promocijas darbā ir analizētas deficīta izpausmes frazeoloģismos ar mērķi izprast, kas un kādēļ zūd tulkojumos, un meklētu tulkotajā daiļliteratūrā sastopamā deficīta samazināšanas iespējas. Hipotēze: frazeoloģisma semantiskais lauks var iespaidot deficītu, kas rodas tulkošanas procesā. Darbs galvenokārt balstās Salā Mežri un Žana Renē Ladmirala attīstīto tulkošanas deficīta teoriju. Darbā secināts, ka frazeoloģisma semantiskais lauks tiešām korelē ar deficīta izpausmēm tulkojumos: ja frazeoloģisms pieder pie ražīga semantiskā lauka, deficīts samazinās visos frazeoloģisma struktūras līmeņos un tulkojumā biežāk saglabājas arī sākotnējais tēls. Darbā apkopoti frazeoloģismu tulkošanas modeļi, kas apraksta deficīta struktūras, ļauj novērtēt tulkojumus no deficīta teorijas perspektīvas un salīdzināt tos savā starpā, kā arī sniedz ērtu ietvaru lingvistisku datu konvertēšanai datorapstrādei pielāgotā formātā turpmākajiem pētījumiem. This thesis studies the manifestations of deficit in idioms undergoing translation in order to understand what and why is being lost in the process, with the aim of reducing deficit in translated fiction. Hypothesis: the semantic field of an idiom can affect the deficit that occurs in the translation process. The work is mainly based on the theory of deficit developed by Salah Mejri and Jean-René Ladmiral. The study concludes that the semantic field of an idiom correlates with the manifestations of deficit in translation: if an idiom belongs to a productive semantic field, then the translation deficit decreases at all levels of the idiom’s structure and the original imagery is more often retained in the translation. The phraseological translation models describe types of deficit and allow to evaluate translations from the perspective of deficit theory and to compare them, as well as provide a convenient framework for converting linguistic data into a computer-friendly format for further research.
