Pacientu veselības rādītāju pārraudzība, izmantojot intelektuālos balss asistentus

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Pacientu veselības rādītāju pārraudzība, izmantojot intelektuālos balss asistentus”. Darbā autors apskata sekojošo problēmu – pacientu iesaistes un datu vākšanas nodrošināšana, ar mērķi atbalstīt pacientu(-s) visos ceļa posmos un palīdzēt veselības aprūpes profesionāļiem veikt uz pacientiem centrisko pieeju savās iestādes. Autors veica problēmas izpēti, apskatot literatūras avotus un vadlīnijas, esošos analogo un digitālo rīku risinājumu izpēti ar mērķi veikt pašreizējas situācijas analīzi – kā un kāpēc notiek pacientu datu vākšana un analizēšana mūsdienas veselību aprūpē, kādas metodes viņi izmanto. Autors veica intervēšanu ar BKUS slimnīcas specialistiem, lai saprastu kādas problēmas eksistē un kādi risinājumi tiek izmantoti slimnīcās. Pirms risinājuma izstrādes tika veikta mūsdienas intelektuālo balss asistentu analīze ar mērķi noskaidrot to popularitāti, izmantošanas un integrēšanas iespējām. Balstoties uz interviju ar nozares speciālistu un literatūras analīzi, autors izstrādāja sistēmas prototipa versiju, kurā pamatā tiek izmantots intelektuālais balss asistents Alexa, ar domu palielināt pacientu iesaistīšanu līmeni. Sistēmas prototips sastāvs no: tīmekļa vietnes priekš veselības aprūpes specialistiem PREM un PROM aptaujas veidošanai un aptaujas analīzei, Alexa Skill izstrādes priekš pacientiem aptauju aizpildīšanai. Izstrādāta prototipa sistēma tika nodemonstrēta BKUS pacienta pieredzes daļai specialistei. Secinājumos autors atspoguļo rezultātus par padarīto darbu, ņemot vēra specialistes padomus un viedokli, un uzlabo sistēmas funkcionalitāti.

The topic of the bachelor's thesis is "Patient health metrics monitoring using intelligent voice assistants”. In the work, the author examines the following problem - ensuring patient involvement and data collection, with the aim of supporting the patient(s) at all stages of the journey and helping health care professionals implement a patient-centric approach in their institutions. The author researched the problem by conducting a small-scale analysis of literature and published guidelines, researching existing analogues and digital solutions with the aim of analyzing the current situation - how and why patient data is collected and analyzed in today's health care, and what methods they use. The author interviewed the specialists of the Children’s Clinical University hospital of Latvia (BKUS) in order to understand what challenges and solutions exist with patient engagement and activation. Prior to developing the solution, an analysis of existing intelligent voice assistants was performed with the aim of finding out their use and integration possibilities. Based on an interview with an industry specialist and literature analysis, author developed a prototype version of the system, that uses the intelligent voice assistant “Alexa”, with the idea of increasing the level of patient engagement. The system prototype consists of the following components: a website for healthcare specialists to create and analyze PREM and PROM surveys, and Alexa Skill development for patients to fill in th created surveys. During the testing of the developed prototype, the system was demonstrated to a specialist in the patient experience part of BKUS. As conclusion, author reflects the results of the work, taking into account the specialist's advice and opinion, and improves the functionality of the system.
