Sieviešu policistu pieredze ģimenes vardarbības gadījumos: Spriedzes teoriju pieeja

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Sieviešu policistu pieredze ģimenes vardarbības gadījumos: Spriedzes teoriju pieeja”. Kā darba mērķis izvirzīts tika izpētīt, kāda ir sieviešu policistu pieredze, risinot ģimenes vardarbības gadījumus, kā arī pieredze ar sabiedrības gaidām un to iespējami veidoto spriedzi, izmantojot spriedzes teoriju idejas kā teorētisko ietvaru. Tika veikta literatūras analīze saistībā ar tēmu, kā arī pielietota R. Mertona spriedzes teorija, V. J. Guda lomu spriedzes teorija un R. Agneva vispārējās spriedzes teorija. Lai sasniegtu pētījuma mērķi, tika veiktas 10 daļēji strukturētas intervijas ar Latvijas policistēm. Intervijas tika analizētas, balstoties uz interpretatīvi fenomenoloģisko pieeju, kā arī izmantojot dažādas analīzes metodes un analīzē izmantojot arī spriedzes teoriju pieņēmumus. Bakalaura darbā secināts, ka sieviešu policistu pieredze cieši saistīta ar izvēlēto profesionālo pieeju, kas ietekmē emocionālo robežu uzturēšanu, emocionālo labsajūtu, uzskatus un attieksmes. Policistes mēdz izvēlēties starp darbinieka pieeju, kas palīdz uzturēt emocionālās robežas, un cilvēcisko pieeju, kas iekļauj papildus iesaisti un līdz ar to ir emocionāli izsmeļošāka. Policistu pieredžu, risinot vardarbības ģimenē gadījumus, balansējot dažādās lomas un pienākumus darbā un ārpus tā, kā arī sastopoties ar sabiedrības gaidām, analīzē ļoti vērtīgu ieskatu sniedz spriedzes teoriju ideju izmantošana.

The topic of the bachelor's thesis is “Experiences of policewomen in domestic violence cases: A strain theories approach”. The study aimed to comprehend the experience of female police officers in dealing with cases of domestic violence, along with their experiences regarding societal expectations and the potential strain resulting from these expectations. The theoretical framework employed in this research was strain theories. An in-depth review of the literature pertaining to the subject matter was conducted, incorporating R. Merton's strain theory, W. J. Good's role strain theory, and R. Agnev's general strain theory. 10 semi-structured interviews were conducted with female police officers to achieve the aim of the thesis. The interviews were examined utilizing the interpretive phenomenological approach, along with other analysis techniques and the application of strain theories assumptions. The study determined that the professional approach selected by policewomen has a significant impact on their emotional boundaries, emotional well-being, beliefs, and attitudes.Policewomen tend to choose between the employee approach, which helps maintain emotional boundaries, and the human one that demandsadditional involvement but is consequently more emotionally draining. The application of strain theories offers valuable insight into the experiences of policewomen when handling situations of domestic violence, as they negotiate the obstacles of balancing their various roles and responsibilities both on and off duty, while also encountering societal expectations.
