Gāliņciema apkaime iedzīvotāju atmiņās un vēstures liecībās

Abstract

Maģistra darba “Gāliņciema apkaime iedzīvotāju atmiņās un vēstures liecībās” mērķis ir apkopot novadpētnieciskus materiālus par Gāliņciema apkārtni 20. gadsimtā, izpētīt šīs vietas fenomenu un saprast iedzīvotāju piesaisti apkaimei. Darba teorētisko pamatojumu veido fenomenoloģija un Vietas piesaistes teorija. Galvenā pētījuma metode un datu ieguves avots ir fokusgrupas intervija. Notika arī individuālās intervijas un tika izstrādāta viena aptauja, lai gūtu ieskatu Ventspils iedzīvotāju uztverē par Gāliņciema teritoriālo aptvērumu. Papildus tam, datu ieguvei, tika izmantota dokumentu analīze. Pētījuma rezultātā ir apkopota informācija, kura iegūta no intervijām un rakstiskām liecībām. Apstiprināta tēze par ventspilnieku teritoriālo uztveri attiecībā uz Gāliņciema apkaimi. Diskutēta gāliņciemnieku piesaiste vietai un apkārtnes fenomenoloģiskās īpašības.

The aim of the master theses “Gāliņciems district in residents memories and historical testimonies” is to gather local history about the Gāliņciems area in the 20th century, to explore the phenomenon of this place, and to understand the residents attachment to the neighborhood. The theoretical foundation of the thesis is based on phenomenology and the theory of Place attachment. The main research method and data collection source is focus group interview. Also individual interviews were conducted and one survey was developed to gain insight into the perception of Ventspils residents regarding the territorial area of Gāliņciems. In addition to this, document analysis was used for data collection. The study results include information obtained from interviews and written testimonies. The theses regarding the territorial perception of Ventspils residents concerning Gāliņciems area has been confirmed. The attachment of residents to Gāliņciems area and the phenomenological charasteristics of the surrounding environment were discussed.
