Sociālo darbinieku prakse darbā ar LGBTQ+ kopienu

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā tiek veikta izpēte par sociālo darbinieku praksi darbā ar LGBTQ+ kopienu. Teorētisko ietvaru veido pretapspiešanas sociālā darba prakses analīze, kā arī tiek raksturoti pētījuma svarīgākie jēdzieni un tiek sniegts iepriekš veikto pētījumu pārskats par LGBTQ+ kopienu. Pētījums ir kvalitatīvs, kurā kā datu vākšanas metode tiek izmantotas daļēji strukturētas intervijas ar sociālajiem darbiniekiem. Par datu analīzes metodi tiek izmantota tematiskā analīze. Pētījuma rezultāti atklāj, ka sociālie darbinieki ir motivēti palīdzēt LGBTQ+ kopienai iekļauties sabiedrībā. Lai veiksmīgi īstenotu sociālā darba praksi ar LGBTQ+ kopienu ir nepieciešamas šādas sociālo darbinieku zināšanas un prasmes: a) sapratne par LGBTQ+ jautājumiem, b) empātija un atvērtība, c) zināšanas par tiesību aktiem un izaicinājumiem ar kuriem sastopas LGBTQ+ kopiena d) kultūras un konteksta izpratne un e) komunikācijas prasmes.

The bachelor's thesis examines the practice of social workers working with the LGBTQ+ community. The theoretical framework consists of an analysis of anti-oppressive social work practice, as well as a description of the key concepts of the study and a review of previous research on the LGBTQ+ community. The research is qualitative, using semi-structured interviews with social workers as the method of data collection. Thematic analysis is employed as the method of data analysis. The results of the study reveal that social workers are motivated to assist the LGBTQ+ community in integrating into society. To successfully implement social work practice with the LGBTQ+ community, the following knowledge and skills of social workers are necessary: a) understanding of LGBTQ+ issues, b) empathy and openness, c) knowledge of laws and challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community, d) understanding of culture and context, and e) communication skills.
