Vārda brīvības un ar to saistīto tiesību īstenošanas ierobežojumi Latvijas PSR (XX gs. 70. - 80. gadi)

Abstract

Maģistra darbs “Vārda brīvība un ar to saistīto tiesību īstenošanas ierobežojumi Latvijas PSR (XX gs. 70.-80.gadi)” apskata būtiskākās problēmas,kas saistītas ar vārda brīvības īstenošanu totalitārā režīmā,konkrēti Latvijas PSR 20. gs. 70.-80. gados,pirms PSRS sabrukuma. Lai arī ir Latvijā pēc neatkarības atjaunošanas ir runāts par vārda brīvības ierobežojumiem šajā komunistiski totalitārajā valstī,praksē tie nav daudz juridiski analizēti.Maģistra darbs atspoguļo vārda brīvības jēdziena izpratni tā laika Latvijas PSR un pārējā pasaulē,tai skaitā arī citās komunistiskajās valstīs. Autore, analizējot politisko disidentu prāvas un tiesāto atmiņas,pierāda to,ka vārda brīvība Latvijas PSR faktiski tika ierobežota daudz plašāk,nekā tas noteikts konstitūcijā,kā arī to,ka šie ierobežojumi saistīti arī ar citiem tiesību aizskārumiem. Maģistra darbā konstatētie secinājumi cieši saistīti arī ar mūsdienu aktualitātēm vārda brīvības ziņā un noder jebkuram studentam.

Master's thesis “Freedom of speech and the rights associated with its restrictions in Latvian SSR (XX century 70 - 80s)" addresses the major problems associated with the freedom of speech in a totalitarian regime, in particular – the Latvian SSR in the 20th century's 70-80s, before the collapse of the USSR . Although after regaining independance there has been a lot of talking in Latvia about restrictions of freedom of speech in this communist totalitarian state, in practice there is not much legal analysis. Master's thesis reflects the view of the concept of freedom of speech at the time in Latvian SSR and the rest of the world, including other communist countries. The author, by analyzing the cases and trials of political dissidents as well as their memories, demonstrates and proves that freedom of speech in the Latvian SSR was actually much more limited than that it was specified in the Constitution.
