Sieviete un sabiedrība: Māteru Jura un Ivandes Kaijas proza

Abstract

Darbā “Sieviete un sabiedrība: Māteru Jura un Ivandes Kaijas proza” pētīts un interpretēts (galvenokārt pilsoniskās) sievietes un sabiedrības attieksmju tēlojums. Analizēts, kāda ir sievietes loma sabiedrībā un ģimenes dzīvē laikā no 19. gs. 70. gadu beigām līdz 20. gs. sākumam abu rakstnieku samērā maz pētīto darbu salīdzinājumā kultūrvēsturiskā un aksioloģiskā kontekstā. Proza pētīta gan laika, gan telpas aspektā. Abu rakstnieku prozā sievietes un sabiedrības attieksmes ir līdzīgas. Atšķirībā no Māteru Jura Ivande Kaija pieprasa reformēt sievieti diskriminējošās sabiedrības morāles normas un mainīt sava laika likumdošanu. Nosodījumu sava laika kritikās gūst rakstnieces pirmais romāns “Iedzimtais grēks”, kur pievērsta uzmanība sievietes seksualitātei. Bakalaura darba tēma ir aktuāla kultūrvēstures un feminisma aspektā.

The aim of the work “Woman and Society in the Prose of Māteru Juris and Ivande Kaija” is to clarify woman’s social status, importance and functions in both writers’ works, which show society from the 70s of the 19th century till the beginning of the 20s of the 20th century. The moral norms of society and legislation make woman unequal with man in this time. The prose of both writers shows the similarity in the relationships of woman and society. Ivande Kaija unlike Māteru Juris wants to reform woman’s status in society. She accents in her first novel “Iedzimtais grēks” that woman is a sexual being, for what the novel was arraigned in literary criticism. The two authors have been overlooked in literary science. The theme of this Bachelor’s paper is meaningful and novel from the aspect of history of culture and feminism.
