Mūzikas žanra izvēles saistība ar cilvēka personības iezīmēm un emocionālo stāvokli.

Abstract

Šī bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot noteiktu mūzikas žanru saistību ar cilvēka emocijām un personības iezīmēm (iepriekš pētījumos šāda saistība ir pierādīta (Krumhansl, 1997; Krumhansl, 2002; Baumgartner, Willi & Jancke, 2006, Rentflow & Gossling, 2003). Pētījuma respondenti bija 68 Latvijas Lauksaimniecības Universitātes studenti (32 vīrieši un 36 sievietes) vecuma amplitūdā no 19 līdz 31 gadam. Par pētījuma instrumentāriju tika izmantoti: pieciem dažādiem mūzikas žanriem (kantri mūzika, smagais metāls, klasiskā mūzika, džezs un, akcentējot Latvijas kultūrvides nozīmi, arī latviešu tautasdziesma) atbilstoši apmēram vienu minūti gari skaņdarbu fragmenti; Pozitīvo un negatīvo afektu skala (PANAS, Positive Affect Negative Affect Schedule) (Watson, Clark & Tellegen, 1988; latviski adaptējušas Stokenberga, 2004; Upmane, 2009); „Lielā piecinieka” personības iezīmju noteikšanas aptauja (BFI; Big Five Inventory) (Benet – Martinez & John, 1998; latviski adaptējis Austers, 2007) un aptauja par priekšrokas došanu noteiktam mūzikas žanram (Music Preference Questionnaire; Finnas, 1987, kā minēts Higdon & Stephens, 2008). Pētījuma rezultātā tika secināts, ka gan mūzikas žanru izvēles saistībā ar emocionālo stāvokli, gan arī ar personības iezīmēm pastāv vairākas statistiski nozīmīgas sakarības. Tās konstatētas, gan lūdzot respondentiem klausīties skaņdarbu fragmentus, gan teorētiski priekšstatīt noteiktus mūzikas žanrus. Tā kā šāda veida pētījumi Latvijas kultūrvidē iepriekš praktiski nav veikti, šī bakalaura darba ietvaros iegūtie rezultāti var tikt izmantoti par pamatu turpmāko pētījumu veikšanai mūzikas psiholoģijā, kā arī kā papildinošs instruments mūzikas terapijā.

The purpose of this bachelor paper was to establish whether a certain genres of music correlate with human’s emocional state and traits of personality (based on previous studies of Krumhansl, 1997; Krumhansl, 2002; Baumgartner, Willi & Jancke, 2006; Rentflow & Gossling, 2003). The participants of this research were 68 students of Latvia University of Agriculture (32 men and 36 women), aged from 19 to 31 years. Used instruments were: five about one minute – lasting pieces of different music genres (e.g., country, hard metal, classical, jazz and Latvian folk song); Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS; Watson, Clark & Tellegen, 1988; Latvian adaptation by Stokenberga, 2004; Upmane, 2009); Big Five Inventory (BFI; (Benet – Martinez & John, 1998; Latvian adaptation by Austers, 2007) and Music Preference Questionnaire; Schwartz, 2004, as mentioned Higdon & Stephens, 2008). The results of this paper shows that there are several statistically significant correlations between both music genre and traits of personality, and music genre and emotional state. These correlations appear both listening and theoretically conceptualizing cetrain genres of music. Since there are a very little amount of these kind of studies in Latvian cultural enviroment, the results of this bachelor paper could be used in further reaserch work in psychology of music in Latvia and also as an additional instrumenti in music therapy.
