Dziesmu, spēļu un rotaļu izmantošana angļu valodas stundās 1.-4.klasē.

Abstract

Mūsdienās arvien vairāk pieaug svešvalodu zināšanu nepieciešamība. Gan darba tirgū, gan arī ikdienā nepietiek tikai ar dzimtās valodas zināšanām, nepieciešama vēl kāda valoda. Vēl joprojām vadošā sazināšanās valoda pasaulē ir angļu valoda, tāpēc arī Latvijā bērni šo valodu apgūst jau sākumskolā. Tomēr ne visiem tā padodas un ne visi bērni ir motivēti mācīties, tāpēc skolotājam ir jāmeklē tādas metodes, kuras palīdzētu un motivētu bērnus apgūt angļu valodu. Diplomdarba „Dziesmu, spēļu un rotaļu izmantošana angļu valodas stundās pamatskolā 1.-4. klasē” mērķis ir noskaidrot un izpētīt, vai, izmantojot angļu valodas stundās sākumskolā dziesmas, spēles un rotaļas, var uzlabot sekmes tiem, kuriem ir mācīšanās grūtības, kā arī motivēt tos, kuriem tās trūkst. Diplomdarbu veido ievads, teorētiskā un praktiskā pētījuma daļa, nobeigums, izmantotās literatūras un informācijas avotu saraksts ar 22 vienībām un 14 pielikumi. Teorētiskajā daļā ir aplūkota mūzikas ietekme uz bērnu attīstību, kā arī kā izmantot dziesmas angļu valodas stundās un kāda ir spēļu un rotaļa ietekme uz bērnu attīstību un kā tās izmantot, organizēt angļu valodas stundās klasē un ārpus tās. Praktiskajā daļā ir aprakstīta pētījuma bāze – Striķu pamatskolas skolēni, sniegti novērošanas rezultāti par to, kāda bija ietekme uz skolēnu zināšanu līmeni, pēc šo metožu izmantošanas, kā arī apkopoti un analizēti aptaujas rezultāti par to, kā bērniem patīk šīs stundās pielietotās metodes – dziesmas un rotaļas. Pētījumā gūtie rezultāti apstiprina, ka izmantojot šīs divas metodes (dziesmas, rotaļas un spēles), visiem bērniem- gan tie, kuriem ir mācīšanās grūtības, gan arī tiem, kuriem nav motivācijas - ir apguvuši mācīto sekmīgi.

The knowledge of a foreign language is an essential skill nowadays. If you are looking for a work, it is not enough to know only your mother tongue. It is good to know some other languages too. This aspect even concerns everyday life of an individual. English remains the main communication language between different nations. And it is only understandable why children in Latvian primary school have chosen to learn exactly English. However not any one of them is good at learning English, some of them lacks the motivation to learn. So teachers are forced to search for appropriate way that could make the learning process of English much easier. The title of the Diploma Paper runs as follows „ Songs, Plays and Games in the Lessons of English Language in Primary School for Grades 1 - 4”. The main objective of this work was to study and to examine what is the role of songs, plays and games in the learning process of English. Do these unconventional techniques helps to grant success for children that have some learning problems or lack of motivation? Diploma Paper consists of introduction, discussion of highlighted topic and conclusion. At the end of the paper the list of used literature (22 items) and 14 appendices are attached. The theoretical part discusses music’s influence on children development and the methodology of using songs or games in the learning process of a foreign language. Besides there are some hints given how to organize English classes with elements noted above more effectively. What concerns the practical part of the Diploma Paper, the basis of research is data collection involving pupils of the Primary school Striki. The field research was done to determine the influence of unconventional elements of teaching and the level of pupils’ English knowledge. At the end of the field research survey was carried out to collect the opinion of pupils about teaching methods used in English classes. The results of research show that using songs, plays and games in the process of learning help to acquire successfully the new material provided in English class. It is true in the cases of those pupils with learning problems and those pupils which lack motivation.
