Emociju pašnovērtējuma mērījumam tika izmantota Dusmu pašnovērtējuma anketas (The State Trait Anger Expression Inventory – STAXI-2) ārējā stavokļa jeb pašreizējo dusmu izjūtu skala (State Anger) (Spielberger, 1988).
This work aims to find out whether feelings of anger affect human spatial reasoning skills. Study participants are 49 people in the age group of 21-59 years, the average age M = 26,40. They were divided into two groups - the experimental group (27 people) and control group (22 people). Spatial abilities were measured with Reiven’s progressive matrices (Raven's Progressive Matrices, Raven & Penrose, 1936) and self made Reivena analogue version. Emotion self-measurement was used for the self-assessment questionnaire Anger (The State Trait Anger Expression Inventory - Stax-2), the external position or the current sense of anger scale (State Anger) (Spielberger, 1988).
Anger instillation failed, as evidenced by the lack of a statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups of self-anger results. Hypothesis should be rejected because there is no statistically significant differences between Reiven’s test execution results.
Keywords: anger, spatial reasoning, emotions, reasoning.
