Dzimtās valodas lietošanas ierobežošana grupu darba laikā pamatskolas angļu valodas stundās

Abstract

Diplomdarba “Dzimtās valodas lietošanas mazināšanas grupu darba laikā pamatskolā” mērķis ir uzzināt kā var samazināt dzimtās valodas lietošanu grupu darba laikā pamatskolā. Šī diplomdarba autoram ir pamācoši un svarīgi noskaidrot to, jo autors strādā skolā par angļu valodas skolotāju otro gadu un ir saskāries ar situācijām, kad skolēni nelieto angļu valodu grupu darba laikā angļu valodas stundās. Diplomdarba autors gribēja pamēģināt mazināt dzimtās valodas lietošanu grupu darba laikā pamatskolā. Pētījuma laikā Diplomdarba autors pētīja literatūru par dzimto valodu grupu darba laikā, dzimtās valodas lietošanas iemesliem angļu valodas stundās, grupu darbu un to veidošanu un grupu aktivitātēm, kuras var tikt izmantotas, lai mazinātu dzimtās valodas lietošanu grupu darba laikā pamatskolā. Atsevišķa gadījuma pētījums tika veikts R. Lazdiņa privātskolā „Punktiņš”, kur Diplomdarba autors strādā par angļu valodas skolotāju. Tika izmantotas divas datu vākšanas metodes: anketēšana un novērošana. Pētījumā piedalījās 26 pamatskolas skolēni no 7., 8., un 9. klasēm. Saskaņā ar atsevišķa gadījuma pētījuma rezultātiem, Diplomdarba autors apgalvo, ka 17 no 26 skolēniem saņēma atzīmi „9” par dzimtās valodas neizmantošanu sešu grupu darbu laikā. Turklāt, autors ir salīdzinājis studentu dzimtās valodas lietojumu pēc pirmās un pēdējās grupu aktivitātēm un tika ievērots, ka dzimtās valodas lietošana grupu darbu laikā ir mazinājusies. Diplomdarba autors apgalvo, ka Diplomdarba Mērķis tika sasniegts. Atsevišķa gadījuma pētījuma rezultāti rāda, ka izvirzītā hipotēze ir apstiprinājusies.

The Aim of the Diploma Paper “Decreasing the Usage of Mother Tongue during Group Work in Primary School” is to find out the ways to decrease the usage of mother tongue during group work in primary school. It is educative and instructive for the author of the Diploma Paper to clarify it because the author has been working as a teacher of English the second year in the school and has come across situations when students do not use English during group work in English lessons. The author of the Diploma Paper intended to try to decrease the usage of mother tongue during group work in primary school. During the research, the author of the Diploma Paper was studying the literature about mother tongue during group work, the reasons of using mother tongue in English lessons, group work, the organisation of it, group activities that could be used to decrease the usage of mother tongue during group work in primary school. The case study was carried out in R. Lazdiņa private school “Punktiņš” where the author of the Diploma Paper is working as a teacher of English. Two methods of data collection were used: questionnaires and observation. There were 26 primary school students from grades 7, 8 and 9 who took part in the research. According to the results of the case study the author of the Diploma Paper states that 17 learners out of 26 got mark “9” for not using the mother tongue during six group activities. Moreover, the author has compared students’ usage of mother tongue after the first and after the last activities and it has been noticed that the usage of mother tongue during group activities has decreased. The author of the Diploma Paper maintains that the Aim of the Diploma Paper has reached. The results of the case study showed that the stated hypothesis has verified.
