Pētījumā piedalījās 18-20 gadīgie jaunieši no krievu etnolingvistiskās grupas. Respondentu skaits ir 62 cilvēku. Etnolingvistiska vitalitāte tika mērīta ar subjektīvas etnolingvistiskās vitalitātes aptauju (Subjective ethnolinguistic vitality questionnaire/SVQ/ University student’perceptions of the ethnolinguistic vitality of Arabic, French and English in Lebanon, K. Shaaban, G. Ghaith, 2002). Etniska identitāte tika mērīta ar etsniskās identitātes skalu (Ethnic identity scale/EIS/ Developing The Ethnic Identity Scale Using Eriksonian and Social Identity Perspectives, J. Umana-Taylor un citi, 2004).
