Atslēgas vārdi: anti-tuklums, liekais svars, svara aizspriedumi, dzimums The aim of the study is to clarify whether the study participants indicate a biased attitude against people who are overweight, attributing them less positive and more negative features. As well as to conclude that there is a connection between the weight of prejudice and that of the evaluator's gender and weight. Participated in the study 101 respondents (49 women and 52 men, mean age 22.4, with different BMI). The negative attitudes were used to measure improved Anti - obesity attitudes scale.
The study showed a weight of prejudice associated with that of the evaluator's gender and weight. Some statements were identified gender differences, where males showed a negative attitude toward overweight than women. Negative attitudes toward overweight were observed in those with body mass index (BMI) has decreased, and those who have increased. The results suggest the existence of the weight of prejudice, so it would be necessary to take further studies.
