Autentiski ziņu raksti skolēnu lasīšanas prasmju attīstībai angļu valodas stundās 11. klasē

Abstract

Lasīšanas prasmes ir vienas no četrām valodas prasmēm, ko skolēni apgūst mācībās. Tomēr pēdējās desmitgades laikā lasīšanas prasmēs nav ievērots uzlabojums. Tādēļ diplomdarba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā ziņu rakstu izmantošana var palīdzēt uzlabot lasīšanas prasmes angļu valodā 11. klasē. Lai ievāktu datus un veiktu pētījumu, darba autore ir izvēlējusies gadījuma pētījumu kā pētījuma metodi. Datu iegūšanai tika izmantota anketēšana, intervija un testi. Pētījums tika veikts Rīgas Valsts 3. ģimnāzijā, tas norisinājās no 2013. gada februāra līdz aprīlim. Pēc lasīšanas uzdevumu pielietošanas tika veikta datu analīze un izdarīti secinājumi. Pētījuma rezultāti liecināja, ka autentisku ziņu rakstu izmantošana klasē var būt iedarbīgs līdzeklis skolēnu lasīšanas prasmju attīstībai.

Reading skills are one of the four language skills students develop in their studies. However, there has not been an improvement of reading literacy over the decade. Therefore, the aim of the Diploma Paper is to find out how using news articles can help to promote reading skills in English in Form 11. In order to collect the data and carry out the research the author has chosen a case study as a research method. For gathering data in the research the following methods were applied – a questionnaire, interview and testing. The research was carried out in Riga State Gymnasium No. 3. The research took place from February until April 2013. After practical implementation of the reading tasks, the analysis of the results was carried out and the conclusions were drawn. The data of the research showed that using authentic news articles in classroom can be an effective tool to imporve students’ reading skills.
