The aim of his study was to find the differences and correlations between child's well-being and behavior, mother's parenting practice and stress level with standard or non-standard work hours. There were a total of 86 mothers with children aged 4-6 years, 56 standard time employed and 30 – non-standard.
The results of this study showed no differences between mother’s parenting practice, stress level and child’s well-being in standard and nonstandard group. However, interpretation of the data by gender issues in the children, we can conclude that the non-standard-time mothers of boys difficulties valued higher (as important) than the girls' mother.
The results show that in both groups there is statistically significant relationship between maternal working hours, stress levels and child well-being characteristics and the effect is somewhat less parenting practices.
Children's total difficulties, which include emotional symptoms, conduct problem, hyperactivity / inattention and peer relationship problems predict mother's stress level associated with the child's difficulties, the child's gender, child and parent interaction and working hours.
Key words: child's well-being, child behavior, parenting practice, parenting stress level, standard working hours, non-standard working hours.
