Personības iezīmju saistība ar prospektīvām un retrospektīvām atmiņām un akadēmiskiem sasniegumiem

Abstract

Pētījuma galvenais mērķis bija noskaidrot, kāda veida saistība pastāv starp 3 mainīgajiem pētījuma lielumiem: personības iezīmes; prospektīvās un retrospektīvās atmiņas un akadēmiskie sasniegumi. Balsoties uz pētījuma mērķi tika izvirzīta hipotēze, kas apstiprina šo mainīgo lielumu savstarpēju saistību, līdz ar to pētījuma dizains ir korelatīvs. Pētījumā piedalījās 57 Latvijas Universitātes bioloģijas fakultātes 1. kursa studenti. Respondenti aizpildīja divas aptaujas - Lielā Piecinieka aptauju (The Big Five Inventory/ BFI/ John & Srivastava, 1999); un Prospektīvo un Retrospektīvo atmiņu testu (Prospective and Retrospective Memory Questionnare/PRMQ/ Smith et al., 2000). Tika konstatēta cieša saistība starp prospektīvās atmiņas un retrospektīvās atmiņas skalām( r=0,76)**. Taču, saistība starp aritmētisko vidējo atzīmi akadēmiskos sasniegumos un prospektīvo un retrospektīvo atmiņu rādītājiem nav statistiski nozīmīga. Ir novērojama tikai tendence, ka respondentiem ar augstāku vidējo aritmētisko rādītāju ir augstāki rezultāti prospektīvo un retrospektīvo atmiņu skalu rādītājos. Tika novērota tendence, ka pētījuma respondenti, kurus raksturo augstāki rādītāji personības iezīmē - apzinīgums un zemāki rādītāji atvērtībā, uzrāda augstākus akadēmisko sniegumu rādītājus, (akadēmiskos sniegumus raksturo aritmētiskā vidējā atzīme), taču arī šī saistība nav statistiski nozīmīga. Statistiski nozīmīgi korelācija tika konstatētā prospektīvām atmiņām ar neirotismu (r=0,32)*, savukārt negatīva, statistiski nozīmīga korelācija tika konstatēta starp retrospektīvo atmiņu un personības iezīmi - labvēlību (r=-0,27)* un neirotismu (r=0,30)*. Statiski nenozīmīga, negatīva korelācija tika konstatēta starp apzinīgumu( r=-0,24) un labvēlību ( r=-0,23).

The main aim of this research was to clarify the relevance of three variables, respectively: personality trait, prospective and retrospective memory and academic achievement. Based on theoretical research and purpose of this study, the hypothesis was predicting correlation between all variables. The design of research was correlative. The study participants were 57 first curse biology faculty student of University of Latvia. Respondents were asked to fill out two surveys- The Big Five Inventory (BFI/ John & Srivastava, 1999) and Prospective and Retrospective Memory Questionnaire (PRMQ/ Smith et al., 2000). The results of research indicate strong relationship between two memory questionnaire constructs r=0, 76**. But, correlation between grade point average and academic achievement and prospective and retrospective memory indicators was statistical irrelevant. There can only be observed some tendencies between variables, respectively, respondents with higher scores in grade point average shows higher scores in prospective and retrospective memory scales, but this relation is statistical irrelevant. Also there can be observed tendencies between personality trait- consciousness and academic achievement, those respondents who got higher scores at consciousness are tended to show higher scores in academic achievement, but also this relation is statistical irrelevant. Statistical relevant correlation was stated between prospective memory scale and personality trait – neuroticism r=0, 32*, and negative correlation was stated between retrospective memory and personality trait- agreeableness r=-0,27* and neuroticism r=0,30*.
